Young Gillingham striker Noel Mbo has confirmed that he’s just signed his first pro deal with the club.

Mbo was first offered a deal back in March, and today he finally put pen to paper on the contract that will see him join the Gills’ first-team squad for the coming campaign.

The young striker was a regular goalscorer for the Under-18 side last season and featured as an unused substitute towards the end of the season under Adrian Pennock.

Now he’s looking to break into the first team as a legitimate scoring option for the Gills boss, and tweeted his excitement after penning his maiden senior contract.

“Delighted to have finally sign my first professional contract with @TheGillsFC,” he tweeted.

“Onwards and upwards, the hard work continues.”
